In this class we’ll review the basic supplies and tools used in beadweaving techniques. We’ll look at thread choices, needles, and work place accessories such as task lighting and bead mats, and we’ll review the wide variety of beads that can be used for beadweaving. Then you’ll have an opportunity to select beads to create your first bracelet. (We will use an off-loom technique for this class. A loom weaving project is offered as a separate class.) As you work on your bracelet, we’ll discuss tips for working comfortably…anxiety-free needle threading, how to pick up the beads with your needle, how to hold the piece while you work on it, how to add thread, etc. Please note: this class is intended for older teens and adults. Prospective students under 16 must contact instructor for prior approval.
