Understanding Your Kiln for Glass Fusing

In this advanced class, students will receive handouts with fusing schedules, descriptions to enhance material understanding, and concepts of how to use them. They will create several small pieces utilizing the variety of materials discussed in class, to become samples for them to refer to at home.

Chain Maille Basics: Helm Weave

This is an ideal class to learn chain mail basics OR pick up a new weave. And best of all, you’ll be creating beautiful jewelry at the same time.

Learn the helm weave and make a chain or curl it into a flower like design.   You will use two different sized rings to create a bracelet, pendant and/or earrings.  The helm weave works up quickly to create beautiful pieces.

Getting Started with Wire

This introductory class is perfect for beginner jewelers who have never worked with wire, as well as those who say they will never work with wire again! Students will learn all of the basic components to make most pieces – loops, spirals, squiggles, toggles and ear wires – and will make a simple bead link bracelet. Basic information about gauge, tools and finishing will also be provided.
